Scripture is a record of God’s mighty deeds with his people, which are the pattern for his deeds with us today. By meditating upon the lives of Biblical figures, therefore, we can come to imitate their ability to accept the action of God in their lives, and his will for them.

Composed especially for this book, these novena prayers present figures from Scripture whose situations and difficulties mirror our own worries and concerns. Pray with Hannah for the gift of children; with Joseph & his brothers for peace in the family; to Ruth and Naomi when you feel abandoned and forgotten; to Jonah when God's plan doesn't seem to make sense.
